This is my Garmin eTrex track log from my walk to GCFA, Florida’s oldest geocache named “Christmas Cache”. It’s hidden in Collier-Seminole State Park east of Naples, FL, on the edge of the Everglades. It was quite a hike and my Apple Watch did not record a good log because I had applied so much bug spray that the controls didn’t work reliably, thus the GPX track log.
The last 400-500 feet of the hike, along a “bike trail” was through about 10" of water. Horrible conditions (unless you are a snake or a gator) but the end result was well worth the effort (and risk).
Weather: 80.7°F (wind chill=80.7) with 85.0% humidity and winds at 6.0 mph. Hourly precipitation of 0.00 inches.
